Blue Tee Championships
Finally on Friday the Blue Tee Championships got underway with the Pairs Yellow Ball Stableford. We had 10 pairs go out to brave the cold in the fun format...Jerry even managed to blow the cobwebs off her clubs and venture out of hibernation to give it a go with Mollie by her side.
I'm sure Jerry's first thought would have been 'which end of the club do I hold again? However I bet the thought of her shooting 2 under par never entered her mind!
The day was a great success with everybody saying how much fun they had and how nice it was to play on such forward tees, compliments must also go to Bernie & Jackie for the lovely cakes they put out for us! The coffee and walnut cake has to be said was one of the finest I've ever tasted.
The scoring was fantastic given the blustery winds and cold temperatures, Denis Lloyd & Steve Howard came out on top with a whopping 69 points winning the main prize, 42 of those were from the yellow ball.
A very solid 9 holes from Denis & Steve where neither of them scored anything worse than a nett par! Following up in second place was Roger Robinson & Ray Gardner with 67 points, 42 with their yellow ball taking the Yellowball prize. That's not the main prize though...seeing as it's the Blue Tee Championship we also gave away a prize for the person who really got into the BLUE spirit, wearing everything and anything blue and the big winner was Mr Lloyd.
Don't forget the 2nd instalment of the Blue Tee Championships is coming up on the 19th December and this time it's an individual 3 Club Challenge, we are going bigger for this one though as its over 18 holes! Choose your weapons wisely as there are a wide range of shots you will need to cover if you are to claim the 2nd crown. But worry not as the rules stipulate that it's 3 Clubs PLUS a putter, we're not that harsh to make you choose to leave the putter out the bag!
And don't forget the BLUER you are the more we love you!

Don't worry though if you haven't entered the raffle yet and you want to be a part of the excitement floating round the club then don't worry as it s not too late to get your name into the pot and who knows it could be the best £5, £10 or £20 you've spent this year!
Lesson Packages
Well the weather certainly took a turn for the worst last weekend with arctic temperatures, high winds and rain falling sideways...not the easiest conditions to play. However, this can no longer be a problem because Rob & I can help you cope with these conditions and any other parts of your game which are causing you problems. We are using the best technologies possible so that we can pinpoint your progress through the sessions; I'm sure Jo Beslee, Clair Meaden, Shaun Macklin, Ian Moore or Stuart Owen would be happy to share their thoughts.
So if you like to sound of silverware clanging together and you don't mind the grind then follow the links below to each of our lesson packages.

Each clinic will cost £10 but as a Christmas incentive you can buy a CLINIC VOUCHER so you can pick and choose which clinics you attend, and as an added bonus if you buy 3 sessions you will get the 4th one FREE! Keep your eyes on the coming newsletters as we will be releasing the dates shortly.
Lonely Hearts
There is 1 person in the ProShop who is looking a bit tired, a bit bare and could really do with some TLC this Christmas but it's not who you think it would be, no it's Clive the Christmas tree. So in order to make Clive a bit happier and feel loved again this Christmas we are asking if any members have any excess tinsel, baubles or any other decorations. Any donations will be gratefully accepted.
