Buggies and trollies back in action

We are very pleased to announce that all buggies and trollies are now back in play this week. We have a fleet of 7 buggy’s and 3 Motocaddy electric trollies available for hire in the pro shop. Buggy’s are £25 for visitors and £10 for member’s and our Motocaddy rentals are £8 for visitors and £6 for member’s. Please be aware that these book up very quickly during the summer months so make sure you book early to avoid disappointment.

Member’s are lofting up

Over the weekend I had my first two fitting sessions using the FlightScope with two of our members. Some of the results have been so good that I had to share them with you! On Monday morning Richard Meyrick had a fitting session for TaylorMade’s new equipment. Using the new JetSpeed driver with a High Launch head, and by increasing the loft by a further 1.5 degrees we managed to gain an extra 27 yards on Richard’s drives! We also increased Richard’s distance by 13 yards with the JetSpeed hybrids and by an extra 12 yards with the new Speedblade irons.

Also 'Lofting Up' so far this week are Gordon Harris and Joe Simons. Both players have seen an increase in distance with their drives of 15 yards or more!

With more than 8 fittings still to go during this week I am so pleased I acquired the use of FlightScope. It has been such a brilliant coaching tool and an unbelievable addition to my custom fitting.

I have booked Flightscope again for a 2 week period starting the last week of April, so watch this space in the coming weeks for appointment availability for either lessons or fittings.”

Course Maintenance

There has been a change of date to course maintenance from Monday 24th March to Monday 31st March. Barry and his team will be carrying out an over seeding and sanding of the greens on this day.

Junior Coaching Dates Confirmed

The following dates have been confirmed for Junior Coaching during the next 3 months:

• Saturday 19th April: 1-2pm
• Saturday 26th April: 1-2pm
• Saturday 3rd May: 1-2pm
• Saturday 17th May: 1-2pm
• Saturday 31st May: 1-2pm
• Saturday 7th June: 1-2pm
• Saturday 14th June: 1-2pm
• Saturday 21st June: 1-2pm
• Saturday 28th June: 1-2pm

All sessions will cost £10 per person. For safety reasons I can only coach a maximum of 8 juniors per session, so spaces will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. Golf clubs can be provided but please contact us in advance so we can make sure all equipment is available for the day.

Coaching success

We are very pleased to announce the recent success of two of Warren’s newest students. Last week John Grace, who recently invested in a year’s coaching, won the Mid Week Stableford with 41 points and Sarah Brice, winner of the golden ticket last October, was the winner of Division 2 for the Ladies March Stableford with 33 points. Congratulations to you both and keep up the hard work!

Ruby West Trophy - Saturday 22nd March

Please note all tee times during the morning for the Ruby West Trophy this Saturday are now fully booked, but don’t panic! The competition will run throughout the whole day so you may tee off at any time. Please make sure you sign in to the competition in the pro shop before teeing off.
