Fitting Days - Filling Up Fast

Don't miss out.  As mentioned last week I have two demo days booked in for March.  For those of you serious about starting the new season with clubs that will help bring your scores tumbling down, this is the opportunity you've been waiting for.

TaylorMade will be on site Saturday 21st March with their new RSi 1 & RSi 2 irons, plus the Aero Burner & R15 ranges of drivers, fairways and hybrids.

PING follow them in on Tuesday 24th March with their updated and enhanced G30s, plus the all new LADIES Rhapsody range.

The new Rhapsodys have just arrived in the shop and go on sale from next week.  They are a fantastic looking club and benefit from all of PING's latest technology.  Never a better time to shop for a new set of irons girls, not that I'd suggest any of you enjoy shopping of course!

That's not to say the boys aren't just as welcome mind.  Quite apart from the great new kit in from PING and TaylorMade, we are expecting the brand new Srixon Z Series equipment any day.  Now they do look good.

The new developments in equipment are massively enhanced by our investment in 'State of the Art' technology that allows us to fit you with the perfect clubs for your game.  Those two pieces of the puzzle are , of course, perfectly complimented by the skill and knowledge I bring to the occasion.  The days of walking into a retailer and buying golf clubs off the rack are gone, or at least they should be.  We all know how hard this game can be, don't go out of your way to make it harder.

FootJoy 2015

We now have our new stock of 2015 FootJoy shoes.  There are some old favourites and some completely new products.  As you would expect though, they're all great quality and all very competitively priced.  Of course it goes without saying (though I might just mention it) that we provide advice, fitting and fantastic aftersales service that the internet can never deliver.

Gapping Sessions

I recently introduced the Gapping Session into my armoury.  As I type there are still a few spaces left. Click here to take advantage of one of those last few spots.

Each session will last one hour and cost £40.  Using the new GC2 launch monitor technology for pin point accuracy, by the end of our session you will have a tag that attaches to your bag showing just how far you hit each club.  That's not a record of how far you've always believed you hit each club, you know, that belief which has you coming up two clubs short all the time.  What you'll have is the actual distance you fly each club, allowing you to hit shots into greens with far greater confidence, which in turn will take a whole lot of pressure off your short game.

We'll spend time talking to you about how different conditions affect flight and how you can use your base knowledge to master anything the Cobham weather throws your way.  There isn't a tour pro on the planet that doesn't have himself 'gapped' pretty much every week.  They know exactly how valuable it is to invest the time, they know the rewards.  Why wouldn't you trouble to do it once a year, maybe even once in a lifetime of playing the golf.  It'll probably take two shots off every round you play, whatever your standard.  Just think how much that could be worth over a year of friendly wagers.

Junior Golf Passport

In the coming weeks, between Warren and myself, we will look to be setting a junior group lesson package which I will be taking.  The scheme is called The Junior Golf Passport and you can find full details by following this link:

The Junior Passport is designed for children aged between 6 & 12.  It aims to prepare them for golf club membership over the course of the program, in which they will learn the basics such as long game, pitching, chipping and putting.  As the weeks progress, I will look to get the children on the golf course for a few holes so they can put their new found skills into practice!
