Hinge Trophy
The Final of the Hinge Trophy took place last weekend, Kent's winter competition set up in order for golfers to keep their competitive edge through the cold months. R&CPGC had four representatives tee it up at Royal St. George's; Rob Osmond, Jack Challis, Toby Smith and Nick Panting. Among the 40 contenders, R&CPGC had their players dotted around the field in 31st, 18th and 14th but the best of the lot was Nick Panting who finished 2nd with rounds of 74 & 73 to finish on +5, seven shots behind the winner. Well done to Nick for taking yet another podium finish in an away competition, I'll look forward to receiving yet another voucher from you.

New Arrivals
The boxes just keep turning up at the Pro Shop door, packed with all-new kit for 2020 and this week's arrival was from Odyssey. Amongst the old housewives favourites, they've added a couple of new head shapes to the Stroke Lab range but even more exciting is the much anticipated Triple Track putters. Callaway introduced Triple Track with their ERC golf ball last year so what better way to help improve golfers scores by putting the same technology onto their putters? The bright, vibrant colours makes clubface alignment so much easier now utilising Vernier Hyper Acuity. |
| Triple Track Open 'Missing putts right for days' |
| Triple Track Closed 'Left's no good either' |
| Triple Track Square 'The key to holing more putts' |
|
To avoid frying your brain with science just know that Vernier Hyper Acuity is a trusted, tried and tested method as it is also used by armed forces to land planes on aircraft carriers. So, getting a little white ball in a 4 1/4" wide cup should be a piece of cake now. Our BRAND NEW Odyssey toys are now sitting alongside the BRAND NEW Cleveland putters taking centre stage in the Pro Shop and will soon be rubbing shoulders with another very popular choice of putter. Scotty Cameron, which will be with us by March. |
Callaway Experience Day
If you're looking to upgrade the clubs in your bag ready for the new season then why not take one of our reserved slots at Callaway's National Fitting Centre in Chessington? On Course Demo Day
The proof is in the pudding, as they say, and that is also very true for golf. Where do we ply our trade? Where do we notice massive improvements in new clubs? The golf course. So, why not have a fitting day on the golf course, where you can compare your usual shots against something that all our fitting kits have to offer? Playing around the first three holes you'll get to experience all the thoughts and emotions the golf course has to offer and give the clubs a real test. You will also get to have a 'Longest Drive' competition against your driver using one of our demo drivers using the GCQuad Launch Monitor. With final details being arranged the date will be released soon so make sure to keep an eye out in coming weeks but if it is something you are interested in then please let one of the team know so you can have first refusal and avoid missing out. |

#468FCD ;text-align:left">Change is goodAnything that makes golf that little bit easier is a good thing in our eyes and if improving your iron play is up there on your to-do list then you’re in luck, as we have a treat we want to share with you. |
| 2020 must try - Cleveland Launcher UHX irons
|
|
When we're over the ball with a short iron in hand, it's time to be thinking about hitting it close. However, when we're about to play a shot with a long iron it's more about just finding the green. This is why we love these Launcher UHX irons; cavity-back short irons provide the accuracy and control we need with those clubs whilst the longer irons are hollower for extra forgiveness. If you're using irons that are several years old, we're certain you'll enjoy some performance gains with these Launcher UHX irons. Come in-store and speak to a member of the team if you're interested in giving them a try.
