It's Like Having A Man On Your Bag!
Distance Measuring Devices have become an essential tool in the golfer's armoury since rule changes made them acceptable in qualifying competition and market leaders SkyCaddie and Bushnell are both stock items in the Shop.
New in this week is the Aire II. Following on from the fantastically popular Aire which gives subscription free, front, middle and back distances to the greens of around 30,000 pre loaded courses, the Aire II offers all that with the addition of lay up and carry yardages to fairway hazards. Priced at just £99 and £129.95 respectively, these devices are the perfect Christmas gift.
For a limited period buy the V3 Tour and receive a FREE pair of Bushnell binoculars. How crazy is that!
We also have in stock the SkyCaddie Watch. Stylish and incredibly practical, the Watch is perfect for current conditions as it's water resistant to 30 meters!
For the serious golfer SkyCaddie have just launched the Touch. This is the flagship model in their range incorporating more features than it's decent to list here, the glove friendly touch screen being just one of them. To celebrate the launch of this incredible product it comes with one year's FREE subscription and one dozen of Bridgestone's Tour B330RX golf balls. And all for just £329.95
For those that prefer laser technology we stock the Bushnell Tour V3 and the Pro X7 both boasting 'Jolt Technology' for ease of use. All the pins on our course (and many others) are topped with a prism making life even easier.
Whether you prefer satellite or laser we stock the best in their class for each technology. These are ideal Christmas presents and something every golfer will see the benefit of.
IT'S HERE!!! Christmas has officially begun.
First off a big thank you to everyone that has supported our 'PROBABLY THE BEST RAFFLE IN THE WORLD' raffle.
Without your support we wouldn't have a raffle and that would mean we wouldn't be able to generate the levels of excitement evident around the club. Already folk are waking up early and logging in to the website to see if they've won a prize. That's not withstanding the first draw isn't until 1st December, but folk are simply getting into the routine for fear of not being prepared on the day.
Anticipation is palpable, levels of participation have been extraordinary, yet unbelievably we still have a few tickets left. Oh yes we do!
We've already added five additional prizes, making five DOUBLE DRAW days. Our hope is to get to the point where we can include another of our FLAGSHIP Oscar Jacobson 'Orsen' lined sweaters. Now that is something to write home about.
LATE NIGHT XMAS SHOPPING
Confusion reined around the Pro Shop this week when it was brought to our attention the date previously published for this year's late night shop was taken from last year's calendar. Of course this was just a ploy on our part to create a talking point, thus spreading the message to more members via the bush telegraph (cough!).
Obviously, the true date, the one for your diary, is Wednesday 10th December. That's the night Man City v Roma will be showing on the large screen in the clubhouse. Bring the significant other and make an evening of it. We're providing drinks and nibbles, the bar will be serving copious amounts of hospitality. What's not to enjoy!
Too Good To Miss Out On
Our Glenbrea Sweater Offer, 10% OFF plus FREE personalisation if required, is still available until the end of November. This along with the Titleist Ball Personalisation Offer, available up to 6th December, can fulfil all your Christmas present needs.
Just drop by and we can talk you through the detail. It's as easy a purchase as you'll ever make!
T'ree Fellas
For a few days we have tree surgeons on site carrying out necessary maintenance to our woodland. Through this period small areas of the course will be taken out of play and where necessary alternative arrangements laid out. For example, Monday saw the 12th tee out of use and the blocks placed in the fairway.
We appreciate your understanding at this time.
Something else to be aware of is the local rule we have in place every winter. For all casual/friendly play, attending the flag is not allowed. Your option is to putt with the flag in, or out. There is no penalty for hitting the flagstick.
For all qualifying competitions the local rule doesn't apply and flags are to be attended as is usual.
Blue Tee Competition
As we go to press, our postponed Blue Tee Competition is about to go ahead. This is all about the fun, yet it offers so much more to every member. See the course in a different light. Play shots in from new positions and use clubs that too often stay in the bag.
If you want to develop your all round game, it's there to be taken advantage of. Don't be bashful.
