You will see that we also offer 3 month, 6 month & 12 month unlimited coaching packages and these are perfect if you have a bit more of a long term goal where some more time with your coach is needed, they're also a great cost-effective way to pay for coaching if you like to have regular lessons! There are also packages which include 18 hole On-Course lessons which gives you a chance to showcase what you've been working on as well as getting some very useful course strategy hints and tips. The On-Course lessons are not only at R&CPGC but they can be at various other courses too because you don't want to be known as a one-track pony after all! Juniors vs Scratch Team
The annual Juniors vs Scratch Team match was played on Sunday, 10 November on a cold but very sunny afternoon. Both sides had already tasted success during the year with wins in the Kent Foursomes, Perman Shield and Knole Park Trophy between them so there was a lot at stake. The Scratch Team, led by Bob Florence fielded a very strong side which included two professionals in Jordan Godwin and Zak Morgan with all the other players featuring in the Perman Shield. Equally, the Junior Team, led by Riley Dowle fielded six Category 1 players including all the Knole Park Trophy finalists. The match got underway with all pairs firing in birdies throughout the day, at the turn the Scratch Team led in one match, the Junior Team led in two and the other match was all square. During the back nine, the Junior Team made the most of their shots and managed to win the first match 2&1 whilst at the same time the EuroPro Tour players proved too strong for the Juniors winning 3&2, making the honours even. This left the other two matches on the course which at the time were all square and 1UP to the Juniors. The third match was won by the Juniors with a birdie on the 17th from Matthew Darbinson. At the same time, Josh Crabb nearly aced the 16th to put the Juniors 1UP in the final match. The last match went down the 18th but the Juniors made the most of their one extra shot and won the last hole giving the Junior Team a 3-1 victory. |

Special thanks go to our Club Captain, Mark Riddick for his support throughout the day. Special thanks also to Mike Bush and Bob Florence for arranging such a strong line up on the day and supporting what is now a regular event for the club. |
Improving your iron play is key if you want to lower your handicap this winter, but you need to give yourself the best chance of doing so at the same time. That's why these stats made us sit up and pay attention... |
We should all be looking to make this game as easy as possible for ourselves, and that’s why we recommend joining the 55% of golfers who don't use a 3 or 4-iron by swapping yours out for a more forgiving and easy-to-use hybrid. One option that we really like is Cleveland’s Launcher Halo hybrid, which comes in several different loft options (16 through to 22 degrees) so we can fill the gaps between your longest iron and shortest wood with ease. The other stat that jumped out at us was that 21% of golfers admitted to not knowing how far they hit the ball...! Just let that sink in for a moment - how can anyone expect to improve or even play to their ability if they're guessing over every shot?
