Odyssey sneak peek...

So far we've dropped some hints about the exciting new Epic Flash driver & Apex irons from Callaway, well now we're going to get your appetite wet for some revolutionary work from Odyssey...

These fantastic bits of armoury will be in the ProShop in the middle part of February so not too long to wait. No sooner will they be in the door they will also be displayed and sold so be sure to keep an eye out in the hardware section of the ProShop.

After doing our own in depth research we will be more than happy to share our knowledge in coming newsletters or pop into the ProShop and get your hands on one!

Callaway Experience Day

With all the BRAND NEW Callaway clubs touching down, we wanted to give the R&CPGC patrons first look at what's on offer. So we have booked several times at Callaway's National Fitting Centre in Chessington on Wednesday 13th March, take a look at the availability below...

Please note that we are obliged to fill these times by Thursday 28th February, if we do not we must release them back to Callaway as demand for fittings is very high at the moment. Each slot is 1 hour long and so if you wanted to look at more than one category of club (driver & woods, irons & hybrids or putters) 2 hours would be recommended.

The National Fitting Centre is loaded with state of the art Trackman technology and, of course, all the latest and great Callaway clubs with thousands of combinations; one of which is bound to suit you!

Flash Coaching

Last week Rob & myself revealed our new innovative coaching option; Flash Coaching. This is the perfect option for those who require just little tweak or just want 1 swing thought during a round.

Each session lasts just 10 minutes long but in that time you'll get video analysis, swing correction & practice drill to work on to fine tune the change. All this information in a concise lesson for just £8!

Hinge Trophy

Last weekend the Hinge Trophy drew to a close at Royal St George's Golf Club, a winter competition all played on the finest links courses in Kent. There were 2 R&CPGC patrons in action; Rob Osmond & Nick Panting.

Rob Osmond compiled 2 very solid rounds of 75 & 76 to secure a tie for 6th place, the seasoned golfer once again records yet another solid performance.

Nick Panting went a couple steps further and knocked in rounds of 71 & 73 for total of 2 over par which was not only good enough to win the tournament but to make it a convincing 3 shot victory.

Well done to both Rob & Nick for not only giving a fine account of yourselves but for also flying the R&CPGC flag around the winner's enclosure once again.

The Board vs. Juniors

It was a very cold, windy day for The Board vs Juniors Challenge Cup match on Sunday 27th January. Both sides were well represented with The Board led by the Club Captain John Bullock and the Juniors led by the Junior Captain Riley Dowle. The Juniors got off to a fast start and were leading in all four matches at the halfway mark.

The Board started to stage a comeback on the back nine and with the weather getting wetter and windier scoring was becoming tougher. The Juniors managed to hold on in all their matches with the last match going down the last to roll out a 4-0 victory.

The Challenge Cup, kindly donated by the Club Captain, was kindly presented to the Junior Captain by Mark Riddick after the match.

A strong junior victory led by Captain Riley Dowle.
