Ryder Cup After two years of hurt, the time is nearly upon us to inflict revenge on our cousins from across the pond. Captain Thomas Bjorn made his picks last week which drew a mixed reaction, but do you agree with his choice of Sergio Garcia, Ian Poulter, Henrik Stenson & Paul Casey? What are your thoughts on Europe's chances of snatching the trophy back? We'd love to hear your thoughts next time you're in the ProShop.

Captain Jim Furyk completed his picks this week after the conclusion of the delayed finish to the BMW Championship. Furyk had previously announced Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson & Bryson DeChambeau to which he added the power hitter Tony Finau to complete another strong looking USA team...on paper. The question is though, how will the USA fare on a European style course with tighter fairways and slower greens? I know we in the ProShop cannot wait for things to get underway!

Srixon Z85 Irons Last week we unveiled the BRAND NEW Srixon Z85 driver & fairway wood, this week it's the turn of the Z85 irons. There's just two models of irons, keeping things very simple yet still covering a wide array of golfers. First we'll look at the Z785 which is designed with the better players in mind with a reduced heel toe MOI...simply put, this club is great for those who like to shape the golf ball around the course. The second is the Z585 which is a game improving iron but yields the performance a mid to low handicap would expect to see! This iron is designed for ultimate feel and forgiveness without sacrificing distance and control. Here's what awesome technology Srixon have put into the new irons...

Try a Garmin GPS for FREE Golf's a game where you need to utilise all the help you're given. One specific way that has seen a huge boom in recent years is the use of GPS devices, which are particularly useful when it comes to knowing distances to the front, middle and back of greens, as well as hazards and doglegs. Throughout September, we're giving you the chance to 'Try Before you Buy' on selected Garmin devices, including the Approach S20 watch. What do you have to lose? |

Sightlines on putters might seem like a nice design, but they are there for a reason as they help you aim your putts more accurately, and help you centre the ball on your putter. But with so many different styles, it can be hard to know which one will aid you the most. |
It’s up to you If you’re a fan of the classic blade putters, why not try Cleveland’s Huntington Beach 1 model? Striking the centre of the ball is made simple with a single sightline on the blade’s cavity. You’ll also have a more consistent roll with your putts, thanks to the precision milled face that is a key feature on Cleveland's putters. |
|
Something different Alternatively, if you prefer a more modern look, try out Cleveland’s TFI 2135 Satin Rho putter. The raised sightline on this range of putters helps you to align the putter more easily, regardless of where your eyes are over the ball. Another great feature is the contrasting white sightline on a black backdrop, resulting in improved focus every time.
