Eyeline training aids

You may have seen the latest addition to the ProShop, the Eyeline training aids. Each of them are specifically designed to help with that Achilles heel in your golf game, all you need to know is which is best for you. So to give you a helping hand we took a look at the best ones for the most common faults we see.

Ball of Steel - This pack contains 3 golf balls which are 5 times heavier than the weight of a regular golf ball. These are perfect for those who mishit their putts and decelerate during impact. If you do that with these golf balls you may double or even triple hit them!

Putting Mirror - One of the most popular putting aids and so simple to use. You can check any part of your set up with this mirror whether that be shoulder alignment, putter face alignment or eye position. You can even use it to help your stroke!

Hinge Trophy Final Qualifying

At the weekend was the Hinge Trophy Final Qualifying at Prince's GC where 49 golfers from across Kent were all trying to make it to Royal St. George's GC. R&CPGC had 2 representatives at Prince's GC; the old seasoned Rob Osmond & the young gun Ted Friend.

Conditions were tough with high winds and cold temperatures, this combination seemed to suit the game of Rob Osmond as he finished top of the leaderboard with a gross 78, 6 over par which sees him march to the final at Royal St. George's GC on Saturday 27th January.

Competition entry fees

Unfortunately, we have had to implement a small increase in the cost of competition entry. The small rise, the first for many years, is primarily to cover increased costs. The £1 increase will be split, 50p will go to increase the sweep money and just 50p will go to the Club.

As a result, prize money will now be paid down to 5 places for all competitions and entry into the 2’s sweep will be included in your entry fee.
