Fitting Days

Now the season is coming to a close it may be time to retire the faithful old bats for some slick, sexy new ones. Thankfully we have 2 fantastic fitting days coming up from Srixon & Callaway.

First up we have our man Martin from Srixon with all the latest & greatest clubs they have to offer. Martin will be here with his launch monitor and bags full of clubs just waiting to be hit. There are only 2 slots left so if you would like to see what Srixon has to offer then why not come down on Friday 29th September between 3:00pm & 6:00pm.

The next fitting day will be with Alex, our Callaway expert on Saturday 21st October. The Callaway fitting days have proved to be very popular in the past and we're hoping for much of the same this year. Alex will have his Trackman on board as well as a van full of clubs for you to try out. If you would like to reserve a 30 minute slot with Alex then please contact the ProShop.

You're also more than welcome to just come along and try the clubs at both fitting days but an appointment with the guys cannot be guaranteed.

New Arrivals

The first signs of the winter clothing started to appear this week with some very stylish Oscar Jacobson garments making their way through the ProShop door, so we've taken a closer look at what makes them so good.

A new addition to the Oscar Jacobson range is the Pock 1/2 zip pullover with 2 contrasting yet stylish colours. The Pock also utilises Oscar Jacobson's moisture wicking technology so that any sweat will drawn away from the body keeping you cool. The Pock is available in several different colours so finding the right one to find your style will be easy!
 
Another of the new arrivals is the Ron Turtleneck which is perfect to be worn as a baselayer underneath wind shirts or a waterproof jacket which will give ultimate protection from the cold. The Ron has also been sprayed with an anti-bacterial agent which makes it repellent to odour and staining. Much like the Pock pullover, the Ron is also moisture wicking so that you feel comfortable throughout your round.

Bonus Ball

The Bonus Ball continues to make a stir at R&CPGC and giving something for people to look forward to on a Saturday night to see if their number will come up!

This week's winner was Barry McNally who chose number 38 to bag himself a R&CPGC logo suit carrier, microfibre towel & scorecard holder. Now Barry will be able to fly the R&CPGC name everywhere he plays.

Perman Shield

Last Sunday the scratch team took on Sundridge Park GC here at R&CPGC in the semi-final of the Perman Shield where the winners would advance to the final which will take place at Dartford GC to play either Mid Kent GC or Knole Park GC who were also doing battle on Sunday. 

R&CPGC came out flying in the morning foursomes with crushing wins to take a 4-0 advantage into the afternoon singles and only requiring 2 1/2 points to seal the victory. Mike Bush took the first match of the afternoon singles to edge the team closer to the final.

Sundridge Park threatened to stage a dramatic comeback by taking the next 2 matches but 2 wins from the next 3 matches was enough for R&CPGC to progress to final. You can find the full results card below.

The boys will be heading to Dartford GC on Sunday 1st October for the final, if you would like to pop along and support the boys, I'm sure they will be more than grateful.
