Once again the winter weather reared it's ugly head this weekend with a light covering of snow causing the February Stableford to be postponed until this weekend, Saturday 18th February. As done previously, everybody who booked into the original competition will automatically be moved to the new date at the original tee time. If you cannot make the re-arranged fixture then please remove yourself via HowDidIDo or the ProShop.


New Member To The Custom Fitting Team
We had a new addition to our custom fitting team in the form of the Cleveland Wedge Analyzer which is an awesome piece of kit which will make choosing the correct wedges even easier...

The Wedge Analyzer is different from the normal custom fitting process because it tracks and records data from the movement of the club as opposed to the ball. From as little as 2 swings the Wedge Analyzer suggests which sole grind and bounce to have in your wedges to maximise results, based on 3 key factors; your angle of attack, shaft lean at impact & typical turf conditions.

The Wedge Analyzer is also designed to evaluate the gapping in your wedges based upon the loft of your current pitching wedge so that you are better equipped from 125 yards and less, after all, approximately 65% of your shots are hit from this range so why not make it as easy as possible?

Srixon Demo Clubs
The BRAND NEW Srixon Z F65 fairway woods & Z H65 hybrids made their way through the door this week, so if you would like to give them a go we have a few different options as demo clubs which you can take to the course.

The Z F65 fairway wood has been designed to give you a higher, more forgiving launch whilst also maximising distance. Srixon have done this by extending the face further back into the sole and the crown creating a much larger, more forgiving sweet spot.

On the crown of the club there is a strategically placed step which will lower the Centre of Gravity allowing for a higher launch with low spin. Within that step is a very subtle channel which also promotes the elusive high launch, low spin combination which is the key to maximum distance.

The Z H65 hybrid has been made with the same concept in mind; maximise distance with a high, forgiving launch. The hybrid also has the channel on the crown but as the loft on the clubs increase so does the depth of the channel, so that the high launch and optimal spin across the face can be maintained.

The lower lofted Z H65 hybrids have a lower centre of gravity to promote a higher initial launch while the higher lofted hybrids have a more rounded sole to allow for more shot shaping versatility.

Grip MOT
With the new season fast approaching you need to make sure your clubs are in tip top condition so to get you off on the right path we are giving away a FREE Golf Pride grip to put on your 7 iron so you can feel the difference between a new grip and your worn out old grips. The 2 on offer are the MCC Plus4 & the CP2, here's a little information to help you decide which of these 2 fantastic grips you would like...

The MCC Plus4 has a thicker lower half to the grip, simulating 4 extra layers of tape, this reduced taper encourages a lighter grip pressure promoting less tension in the hands creating a more fluid swing resulting in more power.


Golf Pride also use Brushed Cotton Cord and moisture-wicking cotton fibres combined with a soft rubber material for extra stability during any condition. There are also soft micro-textures strategically placed for increased traction and comfort making it ideal for maximum hand coverage.

The taper has also been reduced meaning a thicker feel in the lower hand to, once again, promote a light grip pressure to reduce tension in the hands allowing for a more fluid, powerful swing meaning, that's right...more distance!

Blue Tee Pro Am-Am
There's not long now until the past and present stars of R&CPGC take to the course to do battle from the Blue Tees with their teams consisting of R&CPGC members on Saturday 25th February. We currently have 6 R&CPGC Stars taken with full teams but we are still looking for 1 team and there is also a team looking for 1 more player.

This is a new fun competition added to our Blue Tee series where the R&CPGC members get the opportunity to play with the cream of the crop that have and still do work their magic at R&CPGC. Driver Fitting Day
