Mollie's travels took her to The Knock Golf Club in Ireland last week for the Ladies British Open Amateur Strokeplay Championship. The championship has a 36 hole cut where the top 40 players and ties would go through to battle it out in the final 36 holes. 

Mollie absolutely sailed through the cut after 2 rounds of 76 on the par 73, conditions got tougher for the final 36 holes as she shot rounds of 77 & 80. 

This was good enough for her to secure a finish in 29th place and a small cut on her handicap too! 

A very good end to the season for Mollie and now for some well deserved rest before getting back to the hard work over the winter.


 

Monthly Medal & Royal Engineers Cup

Last Saturday was the Monthly Medal & Royal Engineers Cup and the fine summer weather had continued but that didn't mean scoring was going to be easy. The best of the day was 3 nett 68s coming from best putter in the club (supposedly) Dave Podd, Ray Gardner & John Martin...a count back was to be needed here. Taking the top prize and getting his name up in gold leaf was John Martin after beating Dave by 5.5 shots and Ray by a 1 shot on the back 9.
