Masters Sweepstake
Well it's official. The start of the golfing season is now open, unfortunately that means we wave goodbye to The Masters for another year, but hopefully you absorbed enough of the magic of Augusta National to see you through the next 12 months. Another impressive year of spectacular golf coupled with what has to be one the most beautiful golf courses on the planet and of course Danny Willett becoming the first British Masters champion since Nick Faldo in 1996.
On a positive note, this does mean we do have our Masters Sweepstake winner who, with a winning score of 1151 and his team consisting of Jason Day, Hideki Matsuyama, Danny Willett & Louis Oosthuizen was Barry Worth. Barry's ProShop account is now looking rather healthy and I'm sure it won't take him long to knock it out! Barry has a bit of a knack for this as he came second in last year's sweepstake so if you ask him nicely he might even pick your lottery numbers for you as well!

Russell Foursomes
After a long battling winter, the Russell Foursomes crown has been claimed when Terry Watts & John Giles met Geoff & Steve Crockford in the final but who would come out victorious? This final was a true clash of the titans because Terry & John won the Russell Foursomes in 2014 then Geoff & Steve took the title in 2015 so it would appear the trend was set to continue...
Geoff & Steve came out the traps flying but Terry & John showed great character after they found themselves 4 down through 5 holes and slowly chipped away at Geoff & Steve's lead by only dropping 2 shots on the last 9 holes and when it came down to the crunch John really showed his metal when he coolly rolled in a birdie putt on the 17th to take Terry & himself 1UP with 1 to play. The cream rose to the top when Terry & John held their nerve to take the crown, well done lads! Who thinks they're good enough to knock these two off their throne this year?
