Marshal on Duty 

Following on from problems last Saturday, with members, again, starting their rounds of golf after 9.30am, a Course Marshal will be on duty this coming Saturday, from 7.45am, directing matches to start alternatively between 1st & 10th tees. Please obey the Marshal’s instructions. Thank you for your co-operation and understanding.

The Callaway Fitting cart is finally here and has now completed our custom fitting line up for 2016 joining Cleveland, PING & Srixon.  Why should we get custom fitted? Why not just buy straight off the rack?

As we all know there are no two swings the same, everybody is unique; tempos differ, swing speeds vary and people attack the ball differently; so getting the right head and shaft combination is pivotal. Having the correct lie angle is so important even if it's just 1 degree of difference this can drastically effect whether or not the ball starts on target.

So take the Callaway cart for example, we've got 12 heads made up of 4 different designs of which there are 3 different lie angles and we've got 39 different shafts ranging from light flex to extra stiff with varying lengths which gives us 468 different head & shaft combinations! What are the chances of a standard set off the rack being exactly what you need? Well there's probably more chance of me losing my undefeated record in Captain & Pro matches, in the last 7 years of custom fitting I have only ever had 3 people come out as standard!

With 4 fantastic fitting carts full of options and the trusted GC2 Launch Monitor giving us the exact data we need there is a 100% chance of finding the winning combination. After a jammed packed 2015 the GC2 will be taking a couple of weeks off for a bit of R&R to ensure it comes back fighting fit for what 2016 holds!

After filling 2 dates in quick succession we have another date for the diary for the 3rd Callaway Fitting Experience on Wednesday 6th April, please find the times below: 

8:00am - 9:30am

9:30am - 11:00am

11:00am - 12:30pm

1:30pm - 3:00pm

5:00pm - 6:30pm

Pro Am

We've now got a date for this year's Pro-Am which will be on Thursday 30th June, make sure you keep your eye out for entry forms in the coming newsletters.
